Retail Express Shopify Integration

Products (Retail Express to ECommerce) or (Ecommerce to Retail Express)

While doing your Retail Express Shopify Integration, there is something you need to keep in mind. You might have products that you created on Shopify. These won’t be supported unless you map them to an existing product on Retail Express.

Note: The mapping process is available directly after Retail Express and Shopify have been connected, i.e., the initial synchronisation phase.

Hence, any new items should be created and synchronised with Retail Express.

Customers (Retail Express to ECommerce) or (Ecommerce to Retail Express)

Keep a record of your customers with the Retail Express Shopify Integration. A customer added to Retail Express means a customer added to Shopify. Whenever a customer enters their details while making an online purchase, similar information will be synchronised into Retail Express.

In Retail Express, customers’ address information is linked to their orders. If Loyalty is activated in Retail Express, consumers will automatically get points for any online transactions they make.

Store Pickup (E-commerce to Retail Express)

With Retail Express Shopify Integration, you will not only enjoy features digitally but physically too. How?

The click-and-collect option allows the customer to choose an outlet online from where they want to collect their order—no need for the buyer to wait for the order to reach home. Also, there are other customisations like google and the updated inventory level for the store. Also, stock availability can be checked on the product or shopping cart page. Again, you can switch this mode to on or off whether you want to display this data or not!

Note: Click and collect needs a license to be used.

Gift Vouchers

To purchase and redeem Retail Express Gift Vouchers, Retail Express uses the Gift Card feature. To use Shopify, Gift Cards must be generated in Retail Express and then synced (not created directly within Shopify). Retail Express does not support the Shopify native Gift Card functionality – Shopify Gift Cards produced on the Shopify platform itself.

Retail Express cannot use these Shopify Gift Cards since they don’t correspond to a specific product. Retail Express cannot sync any orders placed using Gift Cards.

Inventory (Retail Express to ECommerce)

Using Inventory Buffers, you may limit the number of goods available for sale on your Shopify site. This will allow you to retain extra inventory for things like floor stock.

Shopify will consider the buffer when calculating the available supply online and appropriately lower the number of goods.

Start adding your products once your Retail Express Shopify Integration is done.

Orders (E-commerce to Retail Express)

There are several approaches to managing new online sales:

• Automatedly transmitted to Retail Express against a chosen Outlet (referred to as the “Sales and Pricing Outlet”), allocating inventory in Retail Express to lower the available stock.
• You may discover a customer’s source and outlet by comparing their address to Fulfillment Groups (the order is assigned to the highest priority Outlet with Available stock)
• Orders are transmitted to Retail Express with the Pickup Location selected as the Source and Fulfil Outlet when a Click and Collect licence is activated.

Staff employees in Retail Express POS will be alerted to incoming sales when a purchase order is submitted.

Sending a confirmation email to customers and alerting workers to new orders is handled by the Shopify platform.

When it comes to placing an order, Shopify may also be used to set a time limit:

• You can buy stock if it’s available,
• If Shopify’s product inventory monitoring is disabled,
• Once out of stock, it may still be bought,
• The order should then be completed by Retail Express staff.
